The Authentic Alba White Truffle Hunt with Trifulau
Walk into the quiet autumn woods of the Langhe region UNESCO with an experienced local Trifulau (professional truffle hunter certified by Piedmont region) and his trained dog. This is a private, unhurried experience designed to show you how the rare Tartufo Bianco di Alba (Tuber magnatum pico) is actually found.
This exclusive outing is part of our dedicated estate experiences program. You will follow the dog through the trees, observing its work and understanding the deep bond and training required to search for white truffles beneath the soil.
Anything found during the hunt remains the property of the Trifulau, but you will learn how to select and recognize true high-quality truffles, understand the seasonal calendar (September-December 2026), and discover why Alba white truffle is the most expensive truffle in the world.
Truffle Dinner & Estate Wines with Calimero Wine
After the afternoon hunt, return to the privacy of the estate. We arrange a traditional Piedmontese dinner focused entirely on highlighting the seasonal flavor of fresh Alba White Truffle, shaved over classic local recipes like tajarin, ravioli del plin, and Fassona beef.
The experience is complemented by a private tasting of our estate wines—including our signature Calimero Wine Dolcetto d'Asti DOC 2025 (100% whole cluster, Burgundy-style, 1982 old vines), Chardonnay, and Sauvignon—grown and bottled directly through our dedicated wine label project Calimero Wine, right from the rows that frame your cottage.
