From October to early December, Alba becomes the centre of the White Truffle season. Staying at Tenuta MonteOliveto allows you to visit the fair, tastings and food-and-wine events during the day, while choosing a quieter and more private setting for the evening.
At around 40 minutes from Alba, the Tenuta is also a good base for discovering Canelli, the Asti Langhe, countryside villages and wine landscapes beyond the busiest tourist routes.

Massimiliano and Asia Bertello
Langhe Truffle brings together the long experience of trifulau Massimiliano Bertello and the new generation represented by his daughter Asia Bertello. Together, they share the traditions, landscapes and food culture of the Langhe with visitors from around the world.

Massimiliano is the professional trifulau at the heart of Langhe Truffle. His knowledge has been shaped by a family tradition passed down by his father Pierino and grandfather Michele, together with more than twenty years of active work in the woods of the Langhe.
Asia Bertello
Asia represents the new generation of the family project. In 2025, she obtained her official truffle-hunting qualification and, according to Langhe Truffle, is the youngest certified trifolera in the province. Her work brings fresh energy to an ancient practice shaped by respect for dogs, woodland and territory.
The truffle experience is an optional and carefully selected part of the journey, not a substitute for the stay itself. At Tenuta MonteOliveto, you enjoy the freedom of your cottage, breakfast, the pool, wine and the Alta Langa landscape; Langhe Truffle adds a specialist encounter with one of Piedmont’s most distinctive autumn traditions.
